MLB Insider's Scoop Week 4 of 8: Trauma as Transformation

Hi There, Rhea here.

What a week in the world.  This has been a heart breaking week for us in the U.S. with another mass-murder.  Wow, writing those words makes it sink in even more.  I hate that since the making of this film there have been so many moments where the mission of the healing we were demonstrating is so stupidly relevant.

When we were filming the interview of Marilyn Schlitz and Dean Radin we turned on our phones in between to find out that Sandy Hook had happened.  My face was already on fire from a combination of reaction to a facial the day before (I had woken with it swelled up all around) and the news that week that mom's cancer had metastasized.

Life sometimes seems to just keep kicking us in the ass instead of taming down to a calm keel.  And the story of when it rains it pours, well, that happened this past month as well.

In the depths of the fact that part of life is trauma, and these traumas are a combination of human caused, human behavior related, and nature taking it's course, we have chosen to address the possibility of trauma as a transformational process within the My Love Bomb Program, and, inside of the film Love Bomb itself.

In fact, if you are looking for a full injection of the hope inside of humans, and our capacity to heal and transform, after you watch the clip, watch the film, it's free here.

Angels are all around us in the form of human helpers, we are stronger than we think, and pain is an indication of the need for healing, and healing is a form of transformation.  There is also no road to healing that I know of that doesn't involve moving through the pain to get to the other side.  If you need to feel uplifting possibility, tune in to the good that being shared about all of the human helpers that put their lives on a limb to help out on Monday in Las Vegas.  The good ones outweigh the bad, and we can heal from this, and hopefully, embody the vulnerable journey of becoming Love Bombers.

In fact, I'm going to share what that means right here in terms of our values, because, it takes grit, courage, and community to be open hearted and loving in the face of what life is asking of us:

  • We practice unconditional Love.

  • We empower and take care of ourselves so that we can do the same for others.

  • We believe everyone has inherent value and gifts to offer the world.

  • We anchor to the heart.

  • We are stronger together.

  • We forgive each other and ourselves.

  • We accept responsibility for our actions and their impact on others.

  • We find power on the other side of our vulnerability.

  • We have fun.  ;)

  • We take a stand.

  • We achieve our vision with grit and healthy endurance.

Together we stay alive, we stay human, which means a willingness to break open instead of break down and shut down.  The lotus blossoms from the murky waters, and we can do that individually and collectively.

Meanwhile, as my dear friend and My Love Bomb Facilitator Dr. Lauren Clum would say, you all are in my love bubble, so if you need some extra encouragement or hand holding during this time, reach out by connecting over at our Facebook group, You Matter International.

Big Love!

You Can't be in Growth and in Protection at the Same Time

Hi There!  Rhea here with a topic close to my heart.

The truth is, no matter where you are in life, if you are open to the fact that life is actually a cyclical process of renewal, which means change, then you, like me, vacillate between embracing that process of growth, and shuttering from it in protection.

While I believe that the models of nature provide us with the realities to harmonize with, versus battle, which means protection is a part of our lives for a reason, I also know as a chiropractor that the ramifications of living in protection (constant fight or flight nervous system response) mean that it is not a system we were designed to live in full time.

Bruce Lipton, Cellular biologist, also looks at how our bodies can't thrive in growth on a cellular level while they are busy in protection chemistry.

For this reason, it is imperative to create life strategies for noticing the fear, handling it, and then moving forward in trust of our growth choices, especially during the bigger "chapter changes" of our lives!

Hopefully this video is a little inspiration in that direction for you!  And,...looking forward to launching our virtual community soon for more connection and support on this topic.

Love,

Rhea

Happy Valentines Day To Your Beautiful Heart

Happy Valentines Week To You!

I hope that you find a moment this week to enjoy some of the silly sparkles of the Valentines hearts floating around.  Regardless of whether or not you have a romantic partner to celebrate with (I went for years without that!), it's a sweet week to celebrate the lightness and love of the heart.

This week happens to be week number 2 in the My Love Bomb Program where we are focusing our attention on the building of both inner and outer harmony as an expression of Love.

I was inspired to take to the mic and record for you a podcast to help give you some insight to what we're going through while contributing some of that beautiful energy right back to you.

I also am bringing back the Body Love meditation this week recommendation as a Valentines Gift to your cells.

I hope you can find 20 minutes to calm and bring this gift of Love to every cell of your body.

Big Love to you!

Dr. Rhea

What are your game changers for 2017?

Hi There, it's Rhea here.  Happy 2017!

This message is inspired by the time that I took with my husband to look at 2016 and celebrate our favorite moments.  What I didn't expect, is that as we looked at the growth, change, highlights, and evolutions that occurred for us on personal levels and as a family we realized that there were these "game changer" moments that occurred through a combination of our hope, faith, and courage.

We tried new things, and those new things led to physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual healing and growth.

I know that it can take a lot of hope, change, and courage to take a step out to try to make improvements, especially the longer challenges have been going on.

This conversation is a boost to encourage you to go for it with mapping out your dreams so that you can look back on 2017 and see that you stepped out and created the game changers to build the vision you dream of.

In celebration of the power of game changers, I'm also making Love Bomb free for the month of January when you sign up on the home page of this site right here:

What Kind of Woman Are You? (Or, How Conflict Is The Road To Peace)

Photo by Briana Marie Photography, that's me, Dr. Rhea Zimmerman Komarek, at The World Premier of Love Bomb.  I chose it because it is me being my version of brave.  Heart totally on the line.  "In the Arena" as Brene Brown would call it.

Photo by Briana Marie Photography, that's me, Dr. Rhea Zimmerman Komarek, at The World Premier of Love Bomb.  I chose it because it is me being my version of brave.  Heart totally on the line.  "In the Arena" as Brene Brown would call it.

Okay.  This FB Live scared me, for a few reasons.  First of all.  WHO IN THE HECK AM I to ask you what kind of woman you are?  And since my audience is no bull shit smart as heck women, well, ha, I don't want to offend you!

And that brings me to part two of this week's scary theme, conflict.

Somehow I manage to talk about the need for conflict, or rather, the need to get with the fact that conflict is actually a part of the peace recipe.  And that leads to why for me, the kind of woman I want to be, is powerful, courageously loving, real, willing to forgive, wearing my heart on my sleeve but my wits about me.  Basically, me.  My innate version of a strong woman.

So I ask you in this one, what kind of woman are you?  Because I believe the world needs us in our vulnerability and in our strength, in our hearts and in our beautiful minds.  And especially, it needs us able to work together in empowered ways.

Whew.

See what I mean, that is an awesome and scary vision, because we know how much it takes.

Thank you for being a part of it!

Where is Your Compass Taking You?

Hi There Love Bombers,

Last week I was all about what you stand for, and today I bring that theme forward ask I ask you where your compass is taking you.

Do you know where you are heading?  Do you feel connected to your own innate voice, innate drive, innate direction?

As we round up on the end of 2016 and start to focus on the glimmers of what we want to build out of 2017 and beyond, it is so powerful to remain true to your inner compass, and to take the time to connect to it.

If you are looking for further ways to sink deep IN to you, and to building more connection to your own happiness and fulfillment while giving the gifts you know you are meant to give to life, then I recommend you check out the My Love Bomb Program for the February-March 2017 round in Napa, California, or even consider the path of bringing it to your city for 2017.

Sometimes what we really need is a Love Bomb right to ourselves.  Sort of the "put the mask on you first before you put it on the child."

This conversation and meditation focus on love, right here, right now, for the cells of your body.

I am finding this incredibly useful for stopping and pressing play on love that will literally become the chemistry of my body.  It also happens to be a 20 minute guided meditation, the exact amount of time that Dr. Herbert Benson found to be the magic number for a daily "relaxation response" practice for helping our bodies to get out of stress response and into ease, which has a myriad amount of positive affects on health overall.

I also find that, well, calm happy full of love Rhea means nicer Rhea.  And that contributes love bombs to everyone, especially those closest to me who sometimes take the brunt of it when I have fallen into cranky not love bombing Rhea.  Pretty sure I'm not alone in that one!

So, go ahead and connect to the content with the podcast conversation, and then sink into a self-care self-love experience with the meditation.  Then do the meditation again tomorrow.  And the next day.  See what happens if you commit to a week, and then do another week.

Here is to absolutely nourishing and loving ourselves as well shed so much love on others!

Here is to being love bombers!

Big Love,

Rhea

Hi Love Bombers!

This week I am excited to bring you Part 1 of a 3 Part podcast series I am recording as a free mini-course on building the balanced life.

This content has been created, presented, and refined over the past 6 months and I keep hearing from women that they wished that they could access it.

Part 1 is the introduction to what is balanced, what is that elusive thing we are looking for, and are there practical ways that we can build more of it in our life.  You will get the opportunity to check in for yourself on this important question.

I will give a little insight into the Passion Planner, the scheduling/dream planning tool that I am going to break down as a tool to use for building more life balance.  You will have the links to download their free pdf's in week 2, or you can decide to purchase one if you'd like to use the full planner.  (I'm not an affiliate, I just love the product!)

I am so happy to share this content and see how it provides a more calming landscape for people like yourself who so need it as they bring their gifts to the world.

Big Love,

What can I say.  You need to listen to this podcast.

Margaret reached out to me shortly after the release of Love Bomb after she saw it online.  At first I didn't know what to think, who was this clown person?  I am a convert to understanding after listening to her story.  I felt like my heart was blasted with love (yep, a Love Bomb) from hearing her incredible story of healing, love, and synchronicity.

She shares about how she moved from several suicide attempts and a psych ward to deep healing through the power of laughter working with Patch Adams in China and Tibet.

The simplicity of the gift of love and clowning inspires me through her story and is one of those "no skills" way to dramatically uplift one's own life.  Also, she says things like "wee teaspoon of hope."

She shares frankly about the power of having a strong "why" for choosing natural birth, the support network to go towards it, and how she assists women through her Enlightened Birth day retreats.  In the conversation we end up exploring the power of birth as experience, and as metaphor for any Love Bomber on a journey of creation and metamorphosis in their own lives.

I continue to be in awe of how the chemistry and physiology of our bodies mimic the very emotional and spiritual experiences we go on in our lives, and how, by design, we are meant to live in love.  From conception, to birth, to life itself.

In part two of the reunion interview with Lisa Reagan we dive in to a paradigm shift that many people and parents are currently experiencing and aware of.  They are moving from a predominantly stress driven culture which drives us into a feeling of disconnection, isolation, and "squeezed thin," into a new paradigm of reclaiming calm, connection, and community.  It's the move from the head to the heart, and it is a courageous journey that she continues to refer to as "The Hero's Journey" as inspired by the work of Joseph Campbell.  She inspires us to know that our challenges and our squeeze are actually a call to action into more being and less doing.

Lisa has been on a Mother of a Quest for 17 years as an award-winning journalist, activist and nonprofit visionary, exploring the space between our unsustainable industrial culture and the emerging cultural story of what is possible for families who are leading the way forward.

Lisa is a co-founder of the nonprofit, Families for Conscious Living and the executive editor of Kindred.  Lisa shares her personal stories of shifting in features, such as Spiritual Composting, in Kindred and other conscious parenting publications.  In her presentations at conferences and workshops, she inspires parents to look toward Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey for guidance on transforming themselves as a path to transforming our unsustainable culture.  Her Parenting As A Hero's Journey Virtual Retreats and publication launched in 2015.

This is a unique conversation for me with Randi into a discovery of how her gifts contribute to healing and intimacy for couples, and ultimately, to adding to the reconnection and healing for human beings on a larger scale towards letting go of shame, finding self acceptance, and letting sex be a healthy part of our lives.

I am fascinated by the "Big Idea" of Love Bombers visions.  As Chiropractors this concept is very important to us.  We love looking at how the micro of what we do can impact the health of a culture.  Through this conversation with Randi I got to the awesome intersection of her natural calling to serve with the Big Idea of a more whole, more happy, more connection humanity.

Are you curious about how finding your "blissed out sexuality" could contribute to world peace?

Give a listen.

More about Randi:  Randi received her B.A. in Psychology and went on to get a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy at John F. Kennedy University in Berkeley, California.  She is a Certified Clinical Sexologist, Sex Expert and Certified Sex Coach.

Her belief is that if your sexual activities are not harming you or others and there is consent with other adults- it is all okay and there is no "normal."
