Do You Aspire to Serve? Do You Know a Teen Who Does Too?

Do You Aspire to Serve? Do You Know a Teen Who Does Too?

Do you have a dream of service but don't know where to start?

Today I am interviewing a local leader in teen service about her journey from aspiration to action, Jeni Olsen.  (Check out her local chapter of Roots & Shoots here in Napa, California right here).  She is in preparation for a  March 30-April 3 2015 teen service trip to Haiti with the organization Soles 4 Souls, and there is still an opportunity for a few more teens to participate.

Host Highlight: Karen Shuffler, Asheville Premier

Hi, It's Rhea here, with another Love Bomb screening host highlight.  I am learning from every person who chooses to host a theatrical screening in their community.  This hostess was a special surprise:  my sister's mother-in-law, Karen Shuffler.  In the beginning I assumed that the vast majority of screenings would be hosted by chiropractors who would have built in reach for their events.  It has been a wonderful surprise to me that the first 3 Tugg screenings out of the gate have been hosted by non-chiropractors.

It was my mission when making the film to tell a story about transformation through love that resonates with a broad audience.  I am lit up seeing that it is hitting that mark and inspiring people in all walks of life to "drop a love bomb"!

This is an interview between me and Karen about her experience of dropping the Love Bomb on Asheville through a theatrical screening:

Host Highlight: Bruce & M.J. Pappas, Minneapolis/St. Paul Premier

We have partnered with Tugg in order to give the Love Bomb community a no-cost way to host very high quality theatrical screenings in their home towns.  I love that this creates a grass roots effort to place an indi film into a main street theater that would otherwise require an enormous budget to achieve.  The film takes on it's full life when seen on a beautiful big screen with impeccable sound, and there is nothing quite like looking around and realizing you are in community with others who share your passion for bringing more love bombs to life!

Hosting a film screening through Tugg is a unique choice in that though they make it very easy to set up, it takes some tenacity on the part of the host or hostess to sell enough tickets for the event to be "confirmed" and take place.

I am creating as many tools as I can to support our hosts & hostesses to have a successful and empowering experience at achieving their goal to host Love Bomb for their community.  I am also learning from each person as they inspire me with their unique insight and ideas along the way!

Here I highlight our very first Tugg screening host, Bruce Pappas:
